Verify Photos Before Clearing an Old Drive
Check what made it into your library before removing originals.
A completed import is not the same as a complete verification. Compare an accessible source folder with the library using file size and hashes. Review matched files, missing files and anything that could not be checked.
A practical first step
Fresh source-to-library verification needs the original locations connected. If originals moved, locate them again and validate the matches by content. A library-only comparison with recorded hashes is useful but is not a fresh comparison with disconnected sources. Visual sampling supplements full checks; it does not prove every file is present.
